Lardu Lardu no Mi (Lard)

Devil Fruit, Uncommon

Type. Body Enhancer Paramecia

Fruit appearance. A cream colored bundles of grapes with peach colored swirls, their top layer feels a bit slimy compared to what one would expect.

Description. Allows the user to alter and control the fat composition inside one’s body to change its overall size and volume. Can also transplant this fat into other creatures.

Fat Transplant. You learn the Ray of Frost cantrip, which deals necrotic damage instead.

Additionally, you can use an action to transplant fat from your body to other creatures within 30 feet of you. A creature targeted against its will must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your Devil Fruit save DC, or begin to gain an increasing amount of fat around its body. Each time a creature fails this saving throw, it takes 1d10 necrotic damage and its speed is reduced by 10 feet, down to a minimum of 10 feet of movement. A creature burns off this added fat when it completes a short or long rest. You cannot add fat to constructs this way.

Fat Form. As an action, you can spend 1 devil fruit charge to transform your body into a fatter form, which greatly increases your weight for 1 minute. This halves your movement speed and you can’t fly, but also grants you resistance to slashing, piercing and bludgeoning damage. While in this form you also cannot be pushed or made prone thanks to your enhanced mass, but also gain disadvantage on dexterity checks and saving throws. You can revert to your normal form as a bonus action.

Spells (Lard Techniques). This devil fruit power has 5 charges. You can expend 1 or more of its charges to cast one of the following spells from it without needing to expend material components: Layered Fat (as False Life; 1 charge, and can cast at higher levels by spending additional charges), Enlarge/Reduce (Enlarge only; 2 charges), or Rapid Fat Burning (as Haste; Self, but cannot use in Fat Form; 3 charges). The devil fruit regains expended charges daily at dawn.

Awakening (Lethargic Lane). Once you’ve awakened your power, you can use an action to cause each creature of your choice within a 60 foot-radius centered on you to fatten up for 1 minute or until you fall unconscious. Each creature must succeed on a Constitution saving throw to avoid being fattened. For the duration, while fattened up, your enemies lose half their movement speed and can’t fly (as per your Fat Form feature), but don’t gain the same bonuses that you do. Additionally, they lose the ability to take the disengage or dash actions, and have disadvantage on dexterity checks and saving throws. You can’t use this action again until 24 hours have passed.
