Mato Mato no Mi (Mark)
Devil Fruit, Uncommon
Type. Environment Alterer Paramecia
Fruit appearance. A silver strawberry-shaped fruit with red lines running across it.
Description. Grants the user the ability to mark a target, allowing them to flawlessly aim and hit the marked target with any object or attack from any distance.
Sea Weakness. You are weak to water and seastone.
Precision Marking. As an action, you can touch a creature within 5 feet of you, forcing it to make a Dexterity saving throw against your Devil Fruit save DC. On a failure, the creature is marked. While that creature is marked, every ranged weapon attack and ranged spell attack you make against it can reach it even if the creature isn’t in range of your attack or you can’t see it, unless it is behind full cover. You still have disadvantage on creatures outside of your normal range, and you cannot apply any advantage to attack rolls against a creature outside of your long range. You can only mark up to two creatures like this at a time, and when you mark a new creature the oldest mark disappears.
A creature marked by you an make a Wisdom (Perception) or Intelligence (Investigation) check against your Devil Fruit save DC to determine which direction the attacks are being made from if it is outside your normal range and it cannot see you.
Spells (Mark Techniques). This devil fruit power has 5 charges. You can expend 1 or more of its charges to cast one of the following spells from it without needing to expend material components: Hunter’s Mark (1 charge, and can cast at higher levels by spending additional charges), Death Mark (as Bestow Curse; 3 charges). The devil fruit regains expended charges daily at dawn.
Awakening (Bullseye Zone). Once you awaken your power, you can take an action to mark any creature you choose within a 60-foot range that you can see. Each chosen creature must make a Wisdom saving throw. If they fail, they are cursed with your mark for 1 minute or until you fall unconscious.
Creatures marked in this manner experience the effects of your Precision Marking, which does not count against your usual number of uses. They also shimmer with the glow of Faerie Fire for the duration. Allies benefit from your Precision Marking when targeting creatures that bear this mark during this effect’s duration.
Furthermore, any creature marked by you this way takes an additional 1d6 damage from weapon attacks. After using this action, you must wait 24 hours before using it again.
