Fruit appearance. A blue onion-shaped fruit with a small tear drop-shaped pattern.
Description. Allows the user to produce a gaseous substance in the air from their palms, producing the scent similar to that of cutting an onion, causing those around to uncontrollably cry.
Sea Weakness. You are weak to water and seastone.
Chopped Onions. You learn the Vicious Mockery cantrip, but instead making your target cry. Additionally, you have advantage on saving throws against being charmed.
Weeping Weaponry. As a bonus action, you can fire your own tears at a creature within 60 feet of you. Make a ranged Devil Fruit spell attack against the target, dealing 1d8 cold damage on a hit.
Spells (Crying Techniques). This devil fruit power has 5 charges. You can expend 1 or more of its charges to cast one of the following spells from it without needing to expend material components: Hideous Crying (as Tasha’s Hideous Laughter; 1 charge), Ray of Sadness (as Ray of Enfeeblement; 2 charge), or Bawling Breath (Fear; 3 charges). The devil fruit regains expended charges daily at dawn.
Awakening (Tidal Wave of Sorrow). Once you’ve awakened your power, you can use an action to release a massive wave of crying gas in a 60-foot radius centered on you. Each creature of your choice in the area must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, creatures are overwhelmed by sorrow for 1 minute. Affected creatures are frightened and blinded for the duration and spends its turn crying uncontrollably, and must take the Dash action and move away from you by the safest available route on each of its turns, unless there is nowhere to move. Additionally, the tears of crying creatures are contagious and will spread to any other creature that starts its turn within 10 feet of a crying creature, forcing it to also make the save to avoid crying. A crying target can repeat the saving throw at the end of its turn, ending the effect on themselves on a success. Additionally, any surface a crying creature moves across becomes difficult terrain due to the pooling tears for 1 minute. You can’t use this action again for another 24 hours.
