Hobi Hobi no Mi (Toy Transforming)
Devil Fruit, Rare
Type. Environment Alterer Paramecia
Fruit appearance. A cube-shaped, peach-like fruit with checkered patterns.
Description. Grants the user the ability to transform living beings into toys by touching them. The user can also make a contract with the transformed toys, forcing them to obey their commands.
Sea Weakness. You are weak to water and seastone.
Toy Transformation. As an action, you can touch a creature within 5 feet of you and force it to make a Constitution saving throw against your Devil Fruit save DC. On a failed save, the creature is transformed into a toy version of itself, taking on the stats of a Monodrone (from the 5e monster manual). This transformation is permanent, unless removed by a Greater Restoration spell or a similar effect. Otherwise, its personality and mental ability scores remain the same. You can also determine its size (tiny to gargantuan). The creature also loses any ability to cast spells, and any special abilities it may have had in its original form. While in toy form, the creature is charmed by you and cannot harm you, and you can erase its memories while it is a toy. If you fall to 0 hit points, fall unconscious, or fall victim to your Sea Weakness, every creature under the effects of your Toy Transformation reverts back to their original form. Alternatively, a creature can be freed from this effect with the Greater Restoration or Wish spells. A creature that succeeds on saving against your Toy Transformation or is otherwise reverted back to its original form is immune to the effects of it for 24 hours.
Contract Making. As a bonus action, you can make a contract with a toy you have transformed. The toy obeys any verbal commands that you issue to it (no action required by you), as long as they don’t involve harming you. If you are absent, the toy acts on its own to carry out your last given command.
Spells (Toy Techniques). This devil fruit power has 9 charges. You can expend 1 or more of its charges to cast one of the following spells from it without needing to expend material components: Toy Servant (unseen servant; 1 charge, and can cast at higher levels by spending additional charges), Hold Toy (as hold person; only works on toys of any size; 2 charges), Summon Toy (summon construct; 4 charges). The devil fruit regains expended charges daily at dawn.
Awakening (Overdrive Transformation). Once you’ve awakened your power, you can use an action to cause all creatures within 30 feet of you to make a Constitution saving throw against your Devil Fruit save DC. On a failed save, they are transformed into toys, and are subject to the effects of your Toy Transformation and Contract Making abilities. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again for another 24 hours.
