Ito Ito No Mi (String)
Devil Fruit, Rare
Type. Substance Generator Paramecia
Fruit appearance. The Ito Ito no Mi is a light gray pear with swirling patterns on its surface.
Description. This coveted Devil Fruit allows its user to create, manipulate, and control string. The user’s mastery over string can be employed for both offensive and defensive purposes, as well as for puppetry, ensnaring, or even flight.
Sea Weakness. You are weak to water and seastone.
String Creation. As a bonus action, you can create strings from any part of your body, which last for 1 minute. These strings are incredibly durable and sharp, and extend up to 120 feet from you. You can make a ranged weapon attack with them, dealing 2d8 slashing damage on a hit. You are proficient with these strings, and you can use Dexterity or Strength for the attack and damage rolls.
Additionally, you can use an action to attempt to trap a creature you can see within 120 feet in your strings. The creature must make a Strength saving throw against your Devil Fruit save DC or become restrained by string.
A creature restrained by the string can use its action to make a Strength check against your Devil Fruit save DC. If it succeeds, it is no longer restrained.
String Puppetry. As an action, you can attempt to control a creautre you have restrained with your strings. The creature must succeed on a Strength saving throw against your Devil Fruit save DC or be controlled by you until the start of your next turn. While controlled, the creature moves and acts as you dictate on its turn.
Bird Cage. As an action, you can spend 6 devil fruit charges to cast Wall of Force, no material components required. However, you can only form it into a hemispherical dome with a radius of 10 miles. While you maintain concentration on this wall, you can use an action to decrease its radius by 1 mile once per minute. The decrease doesn’t happen immediately, but rather slowly over the next minute. Nonmagical objects are pushed along with the wall when the radius decreases, or get destroyed if they are fixed in place. The wall does not extend into the material plane.
Spells (String Techniques). This devil fruit power has 9 charges. You can expend 1 or more of its charges to cast one of the following spells from it without needing to expend material components: String Tentacles (Arms of Hadar, but deals bludgeoning damage; 1 charge, and can cast at higher levels by spending additional charges), Web (2 charges), Hold Person (2 charges, and can cast at higher levels by spending additional charges), String Puppet (Crown of Madness; 2 charges), String Clones (Mirror Image; 2 charges), Sky Path (Fly; 3 charges), String Parade (Compulsion; 4 charges), or Hold Monster (5 charges). The devil fruit regains expended charges daily at dawn.
Awakening (String World). Once you’ve awakened your power, you can use an action to cast Blade Barrier, without expending spell slots or material components, by creating sharp string sheets from objects around you. While the Blade Barrier is active, you can use a bonus action on your turn to move and reshape the blades in any way you choose (up to the range of the spell).
Additionally, as an action, you can sacrifice up to 10 feet of the blade barrier in diameter and length to use God Thread. When you do so, you shoot out a sharp arrow of concentrated string a 100 foot long and 5 foot line originating from you. Any creature in the line must make a Dexterity save against your Devil Fruit save DC. A creature takes 6d10 piercing damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
After using this feature, you cannot use it again for another 24 hours.
