Yami Yami no Mi (Darkness)

Devil Fruit, Legendary

Type. Special Logia

Fruit appearance. A light-purple fruit with upward swirling teardrop protrusions stemming from its skin.

Description. Allows its user to create, control, and transform into darkness at will.

Sea Weakness. You are weak to water and seastone.

Darkness Immunity. You are immune to necrotic damage, but vulnerable to every other damage type. You also gain darkvision up to 120 feet, and can see through magical darkness.

Black Spiral. As an action, you can target a creature within 60 feet of you, attempting to pull it closer to you using intense gravity from your darkness. The target must succeed on a Strength saving throw against your Devil Fruit save DC or be pulled up to 60 feet toward you and become grappled by you. While it is grappled this way, it is restrained by the darkness in your palm until the grapple is broken.

Black Hole. As an action, you may spend 1 or more devil fruit charges to form a large pool of darkness on the ground around you. If you do so, you target each creature and object in a 10-foot-radius sphere centered on you must succeed on a Costitution saving throw against your Devil Fruit save DC. A creature takes 3d10 necrotic damage on a failed save and becomes banished into your darkness (as if using the banishment spell, no concentration required) for 1 minute, or half as much damage and doesn’t get banished on a successful one. An unworn or unheld object in the radius is automatically banished into the darkness. A creature banished into your darkness is freed if you are reduced to 0 hit points or fall unconscious, reappearing in its original space after it is freed. A creature banished this way has all of it’s devil fruit abilities and active effects nullified for the duration. The darkness’s damage increases by 1d10 and it’s radius increases by 5 feet for each additional devil fruit charge expended over 1, dealing up to 11d10 necrotic damage and having up to a 50-foot radius in total.

Liberation. As an action, you can free any object or creature banished into your darkness. If a creature or object is freed this way, it is thrown up to 60 feet in a random direction and knocked prone. If a thrown target strikes a solid surface, the target takes 3 (1d6) bludgeoning damage for every 10 feet it was thrown. If the target is thrown at another creature, that creature must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw against your Devil Fruit save DC or take the same damage and be knocked prone.

Darkness Storage. Your carrying capacity is multiplied by 100, as you are able to store objects within black holes on your body. Any object you carry that isn’t being worn or held is stored in a pocket dimension (as if using a bag of holding) which can only be released by you. If you fall unconscious or drop to 0 hit points, all objects you are storing in your pocket dimension is released from your body.

Devil Fruit Nullification. When a creature is restrained or grappled by you or a spell cast by this devil fruit, it is unable to use any devil fruit abilities for the duration of the grapple or restraint, and any active devil fruit effects it was using are suddenly ended, as if the creature was touched by seastone.
